About Us

"You have to know the potential for change."
As an expert in the introduction of new technologies, we support a company’s internal process to strengthen its future viability. With acoustic resonance technology, we offer a proven method to systematically and reproducibly evaluate your quality assurance in series production and to make it transparent.
Whether engineering, testing solution, test fixture, service and support, training and education, or even complete solutions. We accompany you in the feasibility analysis, product sampling, test specification and requirement specification preparation for an optimal solution concept.
Ready to use: Our acoustic hammer Sonic.MLNR is a measuring device for manually exciting the resonance frequencies of components and structures. The resonant frequencies are recorded by a microphone via airborne sound. All measurement data is stored and documented. The acoustic hammer can be used for comparative non-destructive testing. The measurement results are used for quality control and assessment of building structures with regard to structural structures, strengths, cavities, connection quality, etc.
In cooperation with the NMIMS University in Mumbai, we are committed as a cooperation partner for the development of new technologies as well for the education and qualification of students.
Our logo – the fern frond – stands for proven, robust and durable and thus for the sustainable success of the company.

Natural Frequency or Eigenfrequency Measurement
Determination and monitoring of natural frequencies is becoming more and more important for all components of brake and steering systems. The manufacturing of those components must adhere to strictly defined natural frequency specifications. Manufacturers are required to verify and document their compliance also in serial production. The SR20AT testing software comes with different process interfaces for easy inline integration. It features intuitive navigation and a good database management with dynamic statistics and data export functions.

Acoustic material testing –
acoustic resonance analysis
Acoustic resonance analysis, also known as sound testing, is a non-destructive testing method (NDT). It enables fast, robust and cost-effective testing in series production. The physical effect is exploited that a body oscillates in certain characteristic Frequency modes and natural frequencies after suitable excitation (e.g. attack).
Acoustic resonance technology (ART) is used to assess the dynamic strength of the component. In particular, for testing material structures strength, joint quality, cracks and much more. Surface defects cannot be detected. Acoustic material testing is a comparative procedure. Therefore, pre-classified components must always be available in order to determine the characterization of good and defective components in the test system. Deviations in the time signal or frequency spectrum are measured and monitored. The result is 100% quality assurance.
Advantage / Benefit
Acoustic material testing in series production is robust, fast and effective compared to other test methods. It does not require any additives or certified personnel. The ROI is calculated much faster than for all other NDT methods. With our testing software SR20AT, Prochain offers a powerful system for non-destructive acoustic material testing. The special feature is the comprehensive selection of evaluation algorithms for a reliable detection of anomalies in the spectrum and defects in the product. All measurement results are stored in relation to the product ID and can be used afterwards for statistics, reports and post-evaluation.

Automation for quality monitoring
The classic financial areas of acoustic sound testing: casting industry, sintered metals and also stoneware and ceramics industry. This means wherever the employee can tell from the sound what the quality is (microstructure, delamination, cracks, etc.).
Acoustic material testing, also known as sound testing, is often still carried out subjectively by employees. The SR20AT software system replaces subjective testing with objective, effective and fully automatable acoustic testing. New material trends also require a new evaluation of the use of acoustic resonance technology (ART). Lightweight construction, composites (hybrid materials) and plastics require their own approach to material testing. Especially in lightweight construction, strength, stiffness, durability and wear monitoring are extremely important requirements.

Acoustic Hammer (MLNR)
The acoustic hammer MLNR is a measuring device for stimulating/exciting the resonance frequencies of components and structures.
The resonant frequencies are picked up by a microphone via airborne sound. All measurement data are stored and documented in a comprehensive database.
The acoustic hammer MLNR can be used for comparative non-destructive testing. The measurement results are used to check the quality of components regarding material structure strength, connection quality, cracks, etc.
For use on metal, wood, plastic, concrete, stone, hybrid material.
Concrete and building structures must comply with strict regulations and quality standards (ASTM). Since these standards are often mandatory, tests of concrete and building structures by an independent third party with different non-destructive tests are necessary to ensure compliance.
